Guidelines of the Board for Gene Technology for contained use updated

The Board for Gene Technology has updated its guidelines on the classification of the contained use of genetically modified viruses and on containment measures. The updated guidelines clarify terminology, recommendations on the use of human cells and testing requirements for the safe use of various genetically modified viruses, with the exception of plant viruses.
